I just took in a new rescue

Gregory Sep 19, 2003 09:39 AM

One of the clients at the vet clinic where I work came in and asked me to take her Burm off her hands. She brought him in and he was a gorgeous normal that was very well fed. He's 11 feet long and named Ichabod. Word has gotten out that my wife and I are back in town and that we have room for homless herps and pit bulls. I'll keep you guys posted.

Once the word gets out you will never get off the list! Our facility takes in 30-75 large constrictors each year and trying to find homes for them all is a daunting task. Just make sure you learn to say NO if you become overwhelmed. IF there is a nearby herpetological society to get involved with they can be a great resource for adopting out animals. In some cases, they may even help fund your rescue operation.
