savs breeding?

krystal_r Jan 06, 2010 07:01 PM

hi
my male has been desperately courting my (what i believe to be) female today. But so far she has not been too receptive that i have noticed. but hes not giving up! Im just wondering when i should start looking for eggs. Im a boa person, and im not real sure on the gestation period of monitors.

also
im in the process of building them a larger home, is this going to stress them out? It is just an extention onto the one they have now so all the smells will be there only it'll be like 3 times larger.

When my pair bread, the male continued to try and mate even after the female was gravid. She laid eggs somewhere between, 30-40 days after succesful copulation. I'm not sure on the time line, thats why I don't breed, because I'm not organized enough. I'm great with husbandry, not very good at breeding, I just got lucky. I hope that helped.
