We got our Rhino as a yearling back in 2004. Our son was born in 2005 and the two of them have been friends ever since. We do have other reptiles but Buddy has been the only one that we can trust with our son.

Thank you for your kind comment. I love the information you provide and the pictures.... And of course your website is always a nice visit for me!!
Nice job at raising your family. You obviously keep your cyclura very clean in order to have that kind of proximity to your child. Kind of reminds me of my own....In this foto both are 5 years old.

I think its really great you posted that pic. Years ago I saw that same picture (maybe on kingsnake ) and I printed it and taped it up on Buddy's cage when he was a little guy. When I had visitors I would show them your picture so they could see how big buddy was going to get. Of course they couldn't believe Buddy would get that big. Oh I wanted to tell folks I do have him potty trained. He has not had an accident for over a year. He holds it until I get home and then I take him downstairs to the garage where he will go on a newspaper. I think he considers the whole upstairs his home and does not want to dirty it.
Glad you liked the photo. My son will be 12 this year, so that photo has been posted on kingsnake for almost 7 years ! The iguana has a new owner in Florida. Hopefully Jordan is staying warm in the cold snap they are experiencing. That is awesome that your Buddy is potty trained. Hope you post more of Buddy in the years to come -- helps teach others that these animals can be quite personable if they are raised to be so.

Way back around 2004 when I found your photo I was just starting out with Buddy. I did not for sure how things would turn out. When I came across your photo (there was another one too) it gave me the a glimpse of the possible outcome. Thank you for that!! You should come and check out buddy's facebook page. I don't know how to make a link. You can copy and paste though
