Pretty bad lacerations, pretty urgent.

I apparently have an albino BP with Houdini's abilities.

He got out tonight, and my cats got a hold of him. The last 1/3rd of his body has some pretty bad wounds, some where the skin is completely gone.

Is there a home remedy for this, like antibiotic ointment or anything of the sort, or should he be taken to the vet? I immediately switched him to a clean cage with paper towel to prevent infection, but I would like some advice on where to go from here.

to the vet! that much tissue damage needs professional care and you really need to make sure that you don't have any infection. cats in particular deal infectious wounds because they have such filthy weapons.

the other thing is the snake is probably in shock. are you an experienced keeper? snakes, especially balls, will look just kind of chilled out and you won't realize they're dying on you. you really need someone to be monitoring your snake.

or, you could take the snake to the vet and the vet could say that there's no real serious damage and you're fine. a little bit of money, a LOT of reassurance. beats a dead snake by a lot.
