This is great. I knew there was information somewhere, detailing the many other misguided HSUS initiatives.
The public does need to know the enormity of the situation.

"As many of you know, HSUS has created a firestorm of activity nationwide, striving to eliminate our rights to own and enjoy animals, raise animals for food sources, and participate in wildlife management practices such as hunting, fishing and trapping. They are targeting animals used in research as well as sports, entertainment and as the family pet. They are a runaway train set to destroy agriculture, sports, wildlife management and the owning of pets as we know it. The unknowing public is contributing heavily to their coffers, thinking they are "helping the poor animals" when in fact they are feeding the piranhas that are eating away at animal ownership, use and enjoyment."

This excerpt from the link above is what I was referring to. HSUS has so many unbelievable animal rights initiatives in the works right now. If only the general public were enlightened, I'm sure HSUS would be seen for what they are -- a fanatic fringe group with an unrealistic ideology that will cost everyone dearly if ever enacted.

They need to be exposed. I, myself have seen them recoil, as if an Annelid from a flame, when facts were presented. We all know facts are not their strong suit. The public should be made aware of the HSUS' true nature. I for one, am sick and tired of seeing their pleas for money through misleading and fraudulent advertisements on the television every day.

Time for some investigative journalism. Time for some muckraking. Time for a little sanitation/disinfection through the light of truth.

For example -- I'm pretty sure there was a ballot initiative regarding agriculture/livestock humane care standards sponsored by HSUS on the ballot in Ohio last election cycle. It was defeated. Heard about it on the radio, on the Ag channel here in San Antonio. It was against their interests. They were elated it failed.

So, what was that all about, anyway?

We need to network with all the other stakeholders of all the other animal interests that HSUS has it's tentacles into. That's my point.

As was stated in another forum comment, they do tend to divide and segment in order to achieve their goals. It is a big part of their strategy. We do need to connect the dots and bring the entire monster to the surface. Expose it it to the light of day. Show it for what it truly is.
