What is wrong with the owners of this forum. They charge for advertising, and they charge for classifieds. Why dont they take some of that money, and pay for some halfway decent software. I can think of at least 3 other reptile forums, that do not charge for the classifieds, and still have better, more user friendly software. And why are they so afraid of letting people know there are other places for information out there. Why cant we link to threads or pictures that are hosted on other "Banned" sites? Its immature, and rediculous.

To the owners I say this:

Why dont you come with the rest of the world into the year 2003. Design a site that works for the users, not for the greedy, money hungry owners.

I hit the post button, it hung for 3 or 4 minutes, and gave me an error screen. So I had to hit the back button, and hit post again. I didnt "accidently" hit the post button twice.

The "error" screen does not mean that your post has not been submitted.

The point is, the forum design sucks. They are taking money from advertisers, and people wanting to use classifieds, and barely giving the users anything in return.

you obviously are too ignorant, or computer illiterate to realize how much better it could be. I dont come here often because the design sucks. In fact, I only come here to check out the classifieds. Why? because you cant find the good information because of the crap design. You think I am the only one who feels this way? why do you think the other forums grow everyday, and this one becomes slower and slower with responses and new posts? because people, who are obviously smarter than you, realize there are much better things out there. You want to stay here, with your dying forum, and admins who dont care enough about their members to give them a decent layout, so be it.

You're absolutely correct! I am somewhat computer illiterate. Perhaps it's because I work for a living and don't have the time nor the desire to become a computer wiz like yourself when I could be having the fun I'm having posting here. Does that make me less intellegent than you? I think not. Am I proud of you for being such a computer genius? Hardly? As far as the forums dying out, take a look at the amount of posts below and the time frame they were posted as well as the more popular forums here, which are understandably not the forums you frequent, braincell. Do you force yourself to watch channels on TV that you dislike as much as this site, or do you change the channel to a station you enjoy? In any case, before you decide to portray yourself as being more intellegent than someone else, at least make an effort to clean up your writing skills. Most people use capital letters to begin a sentence.

Thanks for the compliments, I am sure I am smarter than you, although again, that wasnt my point. Its obvious you are beyond help. No I dont watch TV channels I dont enjoy, but I think its a fair assumption that TV channels, actually give back to the participants, the viewers. They come up with the best programming they have, in order to be able to compete. You would think this forum would at least want to be up to par with what similar forums are using. Instead they use the oldest forum software they could find. And on top of that, they dont even allow people to post links to threads or pictures from other forums, in fear even more people will go to said forum, and never return. You come here because you are too ignorant to discover anything new. Thats fine. But realize this, the people who run the forum you like so much, aren't in it because they care about the hobby. If they truly did care about the hobby, they wouldn't care if people got as much information, from as many forums as possible. Instead, they only care about revenue generated by the advertising and classifieds. Congratulations on being their sucker. The person the advertising is aimed at. The person who is too dumb to venture past what they know. It because of people like you will never bother to find anything else, that will keep this site from updating to anything more user friendly, in order to compete. Why bother changing, when the members are too dumb to know there is better. As long as they keep appealing to the lowest common denominator, they will have people like you.

This post shows how truly ignorant you are! First of all, competition between stations is irrelevant here. You're either missing the point or just avoiding it. Good programming is in the eyes of the beholder, thus making your comment irrelevant. Perhaps you can share with us the TV station that promotes it's competition. The fact that Kingsnake isn't progressing at the speed that suits YOU does not make it a bad site. Why don't you write to the owner and express your dislike to him in the exact manner you are here. Better yet, since you're such a computer genius who apparently has the outline for a perfect site, why not start your own? I post here because I enjoy it. I don't need an upgraded version. If you have never seen one cable station, advertise on another station, then you are oblivious. I have written to the administrators and expressed my opinion. I pretty much wrote in that letter verbatim what I have in my initial post. And I did not insult everyone who uses this forum. But anyone who does use this forum, solely this forum, and asks for nothing better from this forum, than that, is ignorance.

And why are you looking at is as competition? Is one book in a library competition for another? No. In fact, many scholarly books reference other books to cite their information. Something you can not do here, because the other sources are banned.

I thought you might evade the issue regarding your insulting behavior. A very predictable post as well. I have been collecting and raising snakes for about twenty-five years. I have been actively posting here for less than two years. To say that my knowledge is limited to this medium shows YOUR closed-mindedness and your ignorance. The "users of this forum" are quite capable of speaking for themselves and I seriously doubt they appreciate your tenuous (look it up) attempt to represent them. What makes you a "bad guy" is your own socially-suicidal behavior.
