EASTERN KINGS REVIEW . . . . . . . .

JKruse Jan 09, 2010 05:09 PM

Hey fellas,

I was wondering if we could together create a collage, if you will, of various photos (along with localities) of eastern kings. I'm a huge fan of easterns, and had a great trip herping with Patton and Howie down in Virginia in '08. If I had the room I'd keep at least a couple locales, but I have my hands full as it is. I thought this would be the opportunity for a one-stop thread to see as many locale examples as possible.

So without any further adue, let's see a bevy of gorgeous eastern getula!!!!!!!

Awesome website. But what is this with the censoring? Kingsnake.com does not like competition or so? So just like in the good old China it gets blocked?

Awesome critters Mark. I am glad I am not the only one who praises the KING. LOL. Glad other folks have not forgotten about them with all the pretty tri-colors around.

Hey Bro, I just talked to Mark and there is a pic of "buck" the monster king on his site under "about us". I never knew that. Glad I could send you his way. Great guy isn't he!!

SDeFriez Jan 09, 2010 10:09 PM

I checked it out, that is one big, monster eastern. He should change the name to Godzilla. That snake is huge!

Scott

donv Jan 10, 2010 12:20 AM

I just checked it out. That's a long snake! Hope mine gets that big! Yeah, Marks a cool guy. I don't really know anybody else w/ a similar interest in snakes. Even the girl I live with hates them 'cause they eat mice - it's OK that the bearded dragon gobbles down crickets, but mice.....so it's nice to run into someone who can appreciate an eastern king and likes getting out there in the wild an exploring. Hopefully I can get together w/ him this summer and roam the wilderness a little.

Patton Jan 09, 2010 08:26 PM

I'll start off with my Pasquotank Co., Nc. L.g.g.
These are my 2.2 pick of the litter from '08. They are some of the nicest looking L.g.g. in my collection, and should produce for me in 2011.

Here's my WC Virginia Beach male that sired Joecops L.g.g.

Here's Ryan Travis' infamous Pasquotank male.

Here's my daughter and Ryan's son, soon after it was found.

Here's one of my Va. Bch. L.g.g. from '07

Here's an aberrant male that was produced from a WC gravid
Va. Bch. female. I plan on breeding him back to his mother this season. The males produced by this female tend to be aberrant,
and this will be the first season that I've tried to breed her to
one of her offspring. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what they produce.

Sorry the photo quality is so low. I'll try and get better
pics when they all come out of the cooler for the season.
Enjoy!

JKruse Jan 10, 2010 02:20 AM

I really like that Pisstank locality.....almost as nice as the Va Beach and not by far either (IMO). Awesome stuff bud.
