Those top two and the bottom one are the best of the best! I like the blondes, but not as much as almost any normal patterned end of the color spectrum snake!

Those are sort of ok...I'll take one of each please. I find the top left and RRBM1 to be especially nice. RRBM1 looks fake it's so bright! Great photos to boot!

...is that your site?

CMSMITH Jan 10, 2010 11:13 AM

the photography was done by Bob Hansen. Its my site, and yeah that wild blonde does look fake. I turned down the saturation, but its still flourescent. Its more orange in person. I agree with you Todd, the normals are my favorite too. If a snake naturally has an intricate, high contrast pattern with many shades, why screw it up. I guess its just a matter of rarity.
Thanks again

heheh, don't get me wrong, I LOVE the morphs of this species, but I fell in love with a wild caught and have been smitten with that quality that is hard to express, each locale has a subtle variation all its' own, and the extreme ends of the ranges are really something to marvel! I have a few now, lol, and I have to say that pink, tan, orange, yellow, gray, silver, blonde, they are all great! I only have one morph, a Trumbower axanthic blonde male, he is a true show stopper, but the beauty of the natural forms really blow me away.

Awesome-love them all, but that last normal patterned silver is eye-popping!

I agree with Brad...that Silver is incredible. But the whole group is very easy on the eyes. Great photos. BTW, Blondes ARE "normal" over a limited range. :-D

CMSMITH Jan 11, 2010 11:51 PM

normal is pretty ambiguous.

understood Dusty, I guess I have been somewhat limited in adding that locality personally, lol!

Wow! Nice--all of them. That SBF1 is sweet. Looks almost like a ghost it's so pale. And I agree with everyone else on that silver normal. What a beauty.

MikeMurphy Jan 11, 2010 11:54 AM

Just looking at SBF1 again, I assume SB stands for Silver Blonde. I don't think I've ever seen a silver with so much tan on it. I've seen some that have a bit of a tannish "wash" on the anterior part of the body. But never so much the entire length. Do you know the background on that one?

CMSMITH Jan 11, 2010 03:44 PM

that silver normal is cool, real fast grower too, less the 18 months and pushin 3 feet. Im not sure about that silver blonde other than it came from Dave Katz. I assume he bred it. Shes 6 yrs old and really large, seems like the older/bigger she got that color became more prominent. As a hatchling she was pretty typical, other than having her blothces very washed out.
