I agree Scott, these Mustang Island intergrades are small and don't grow very rapidly, and prefer lizards (skinks), kinda tough but a joy once they take off!

That they are Todd, a pain in the rear to get them feeding. I don't know how many countless lizard tails I had to feed them till they were big enough to take pinkies or small lizards. Like you said they are a joy when they start feeding and growing, and they are beautiful snakes, like the picture you posted.

I've got some 09's of these temporalis and quite frankly, they haven't been as bad as I had anticipated. After a couple months of tails, they started chomping on heads and were off to the races.

The hardest snake I ever raised was this one. Not one you would suspect but this girl was a very finicky eater and took her 8 years before she was a size I was comfortable trying to breed. Sometimes the best looking ones in the clutch are the biggest pain in the @ss! She was worth all the work though!

Dave, that crazy thin-banded nelsoni was definitely worth the effort!. That bloodline originated from Doug Moody, correct?

You have a great memory, Doug! I held back a pair in 08 from the only good clutch I've gotten from that girl to keep this bloodline going.
The pinstripes should go nicely with my T nelsoni.

Were her hatchlings as finicky as she was? My little milk collection has grown to four, and every one of them is fortunately hungry.
Actually, no. They all ate fine except for one (the best looking one) that only wanted live for about a year and now will take f/t but they have to be brained. The rest of the clutch was on f/t right away.
Here is the one that was a little stubborn on f/t

Sounds like you had good luck with those milks, they are awesome looking and I would say they were worth it!
Scott
I haven't had too many issues but there is one female Tyrell county temporalis that comes to mind. She was just a pain to get going.
