New to Milksnakes

Jud McClanahan Jan 10, 2010 04:59 PM

Hello. After gaining an interest in milksnakes and reading this forum for the past six months I thought I would get a pair. I went to Daytona in 09 and purchased a pair of Extreme hypos from Randy Whittington. After breeding Anacondas and Pythons for many years it is really neat to work with a smaller snake this attractive. I am posting photos of the pair. Thanks for looking.

Wow!! Nice pair of xtreme hondos. From what I have seen, Randy produces very awesome babies. Colubrids probably dont sell as well as the big snakes at most shows. It appears even "the next big morphs" in some colubrid species arent selling as well as the most common big constrictor babies. However, if you are keeping and breeding for pure enjoyment, they are awesome snakes.

Yes, those are really nice extremes you scored from Randy. I was visiting Randy at his table and saw those very animals you picked up. He certainly does have some great stuff!

Thanks for the nice comments on my snakes. And thank you Randy for posting photos of the mom. I was curious how well the adults hold their color and the pictures answered that. She is a beautiful snake. Thank again. Jud

Jud, I don't think you could have found a nicer looking pair of milks this year than those! Dang Randy, you catch those yourself? LOL!
