She's definitely healthy, not obese; what a monster... Are you injecting her with steroids? LOL

What a beast! Almost a twin to my girl but definitely bigger.

Congrats. That is a healthy looking female. Pretty to.

Aren't all females thicker than males in the eastern king group?

That is one hefty and healthy king. How much mice do you feed her? Love the pic with the lighter, you know smoking is't good for snakes too.......LOL!

As for the size difference in E kings, I think it just depends on living conditions, how much they feed, age. My 3 year old E kings, the male is bigger and they are the same age.

I saw my first easterns in person about 20 years ago. A co-worker had a male and a couple of females. The male was DEFINITELY larger. A good five to six foot and pretty darn thick. He had problems trying to breed it to his three and four foot females due to them being scared and running away LOL!! This may have been relative to age, etc. as I believe all were WC.

joecop Jan 11, 2010 11:46 PM

I agree Scott. All of my male eaterns are bigger then the females.

That's the way it has been for me too Joe!

Sorry, date of my previous msg was Jan 8th.

Don, there are some here that believe that you cannot overfeed a snake and there is no such thing as on obese snake. I for one know I feed my snakes too much and had two that started to get fat deposits last year. They went on a slight diet. Do you have any photos of your snakes? Folks here like to see pics and it is hard to tell you if they are "fat" without seeing them first. They do sound like big kings and that is cool!

SDeFriez Jan 12, 2010 12:21 AM

I had an Eastern king (the one eating the Copperhead) that male was big, not fat just big. One time I feed him 13 mice. Hey I was younger and dumb, but he was still seaching the cage after he took the last mouse. The only problem was the huge poops I had to clean up.....LOL!
