Once upon a time in a land far far away....
OK, not so long ago - 2004 and not so far away - Petaluma California
I was attending a small reptile show as a vendor. Was a fun time talking to people and moving out some of my baby BRB's. During the show another vendor aproached me and asked if I'd be interested in a adult female BRB. I told her maybe, can I see it? She sent her friend off to retreive the female BRB. Hen that BRB did show up it was in not so great shape. No URI thank god but was dehydrated with custy skin and what looked like several retained eye-caps Also had some scaring from whatn looked like rat bites. But in a cinderella kind of way she was a beautiful animal, just looked bad from neglect. I bought her and nursed her back to health - was oh so hard, fed her and provided a proper humid cage. After she shed that old crusty skin away (I remember it took a couple of sheds) she was gorgeous. You all know her as Savannah, this is my screensaver of her from December of 2005....

And in may of 2006 showing off her big fat white-walls....

So what do you do with a stunning girl like that, you breed her. In 2005 she was with one of my stud males Porky and produced a litter with some very nice babies including a few I kept....
Wendy...

Amber...

And Phoenix...

In 2006 she took a year off, then in 2007 she produced a litter with Nathan, I kept only one of those babies, Moon...

In 2008 she was paired with Fluffy for the Calico project and I kept four of those babies (sorry but these pics are from Jan 2009, they are looking so much nicer now)...
Belle...

Marcie...

Snoopy...

And Spike...

Then in 2009 I got the bright idea to try breeding Phoenix back to Savannah. I know, inbreeding but at least only one generation and WOW, I'm sooo glad I did. That litter was stunning and I kept the three best for myself....
Female SA-PH-0905 "Erin"...

Male SA-PH-0902 "Presley"...

And Male SA-PH-0903 "Elvis" (catching the theme yet?). This is one of the finest BRB's I've ever seen, maybe even the very finest. In person he just glows!!

Elvis with his brother Presley

Elvis, Erin and Presley all together...

I love a good story and this one has a long ways to go!!!!!
