I seen the video lastnight but didnt have time to go to the web site to sign the petition, I tried to get the video up this morning but it could not be found on youtube. Perhaps if you posted a hyperlink directly to the site to sign the petition more people would respond.

They extended the deadline to January 20th so if you have not sent in letters or made calls please do so. Once the HSUS sees photos or video footage of some of the large monitors it may be a matter or time until they come after monitors. The whole premis of this ban is that the pythons and boas are invasive species. With reports of nile monitors in the wild in south Florida it is very possible that monitors could be added in the future. The ban states that these animals can not transported over state lines with penalties of up to $10,000 for each state line crossed. That would mean you would have to import anything you may want to keep directly, assuming it can even be imported....
