Help determining sex (photos included)

sdi Jan 12, 2010 10:01 AM

Wow! I had a truly personal and amazing experience today. I was giving one of my V.macraei water from a spray bottle and offered my arm as a perch. I received it in September of 2009 and this is the only time I have held it other then when I had to monitor weight during vet treatments after I received it as an import. It came out and climbed all over my upper body. It was nervous but I think she has associated me with food and water finally. I was able to snap the following photos in hopes that those who are experienced with monitors could assist in determining her sex. I am guessing female but it may be too early to tell.

Thanks for any input. All signs are good with both of my V.macraei so I am very excited.

Thanks Mike-

That is great news because there is a distinct difference between the face structure of my two V. macraei. Hopefully the other one is a male but he is pretty small to tell. Thanks again!

So far looking female, but then again, they all look female when immature. Beautiful animal.
