Does anyone's UVB lite give off heat??? I just set up my new vision cage for kameko and the bulb seems to be heating that side of the tank so that its not as cool as i had hoped. Doug says they shouldn't get warm, but i bought a second one, and they both seem to heat up. What brand of bulb do you guys use???

PS- Kameko (my mali) is not taking the move into the new cage lightly. We are back to square one and i haven't seen him in 3 days. I miss him... he of course won't eat, but he did this when I first got him too. HOpefully, it won't take him 3 weeks this time.

I use the Exo-Terra Repti-Bulb 8.0, it doesn't really throw off any heat.

When you moved Kameko into his new home, did you place his furniture more or less the way it was in his old home? If not, maybe that would help with the acclimation period? I've never tried it myself but in theory it might work.
