I have been keeping snakes for a while, but I just got my first ball python on saturday. I have been leaving him alone this week to allow him to settle in to his 20 long glass enclosure with screen top, and have been monitering the temperatures closely. I purchased a hydrometer, but I can't seem to make the humidity go past 30%. I have heard that low humidity can lead to respiratory problems and difficutlt sheds, so I have been working to fix this problem. I have placed a towel over the screen top but that hasn't helped much, despite the large water bowl and frequent sprayings. If you have any suggestions it would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Chris.
