specifically - i'm looking for a bright red tail... don't care about high priced morphs

Then it's Boa constrictor constrictor (Bcc) you want. More specifically Guyana, Suriman, and/or Peruvian.

I meant Surinam. I'm having computer issues compounded by lack of caffeine issues this morning

I would go Peruvian. You don't see nearly as many. Try Rio Bravo Reptiles.

If you want RED you want a Suriname... Peruvians are generally lacking in the tail department... Not to say they dont make up for it with everything else...... I have 3 pairings this season ... if you want to see the breeders check my webpage.....

If you reall want a super Deep red tail go Belem Brazilian

Or here are two of my best Surinames

To me there is no more beautiful snake than a True Redtail BCC.
As the others have posted Surinames and Guyanans have the nicest tails while Peru boas might lack in tails they make it up in body colors/markings. I have never raised a Belem Brazil Boa but the too look awesome in pics.

Sean at Exotics By Nature has some nice Suriname babys priced far lower than what you stated. I have bought very good snakes from him and he is super to deal with. Bill

I recommend these
2009 Surinames

2008 Surinames

Andy is a great guy and he has some top knotch boas.... these are priced very low considering the bloodline they come from... they are Florida Redtails bloodline..... Andy is a good friend... and has great taste in boas
