feeding

wynterborne Jan 15, 2010 08:19 PM

My snake I have had for about 6 months has been a great eater till about three weeks ago. When she just stoped eating. She is still active at night and loves to be handled. But she just wont eat. I moved her to my room where it is warmer to see if maby it was the cold or a draft by her tank there. So far she is ALOT more active but still wont eat. Any ideas?

Ball Pythons typically go off feed at this time of year. I remember the first year i had my Ball Python, he went off feed from November til the end of May, then he started feeding again. That was the longest fast he has had since i have had him. Keep an eye on her weight, and as long as she is maintaining a good weight, i wouldn't worry She'll start eating when she is good and ready.
