baby res with a growth

I have two very cute RES hatchlings that I am trying desperately to keep happy and healthy. One of them has developed what looks like a pimple on the back of its neck, only visible when she sticks her head way out. It is white. I have read lots of postings looking for info about this but found nothing. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Is the size changing/getting larger? It possibly could be some sort of abcess. They are commonly found in the ear area, but can appear on other parts of the body as well. If it is one, it needs to be lanced and your turtle given antibiotics. If you don`t have one, try www.arav.org/USMembers.htm for a herp vet nearest you.
