I tend to prefer snakes over lizards but my boyfriend likes lizards so we have quite a collection.
The Dragons. This is my first time owning Chinese Water Dragons and I have to admit I love these guys.
Lord Xenu -

Tutu (short for Tutankhamun although I think it's a she : )

Leopard Geckos - Pele & Hi'iaka

Zaphod -

And lastly the damn Brown Anoles. I'm not the biggest fan of these guys but there are not that many lizards that can live in a small terrarium and I my boyfriend liked them. Ugghh... they are breeding like crazy! There were three babies, but one died and one just got eaten by momma. I know there are more eggs in there and I just saw them breed yesterday. I really need to separate them which means I will have two tanks of Brown Anoles. Joy.

And here are our furry comrades-
Chubby 10 year old Aussie/Border Collie Mix who has mastered the "glare" and uses it on unsuspecting guests. Suzi-

Boogie - Evil Evil Evil cat that is constantly trying to shred our clothes, attack us in the shower, and of course kill our other pets. If she could figure out how to spike my dog's water she would totally do it...

thats a cool picture or zaphold, is that a tokay maybe??
how are water dragons to keep, whats the husbandry like. they seem like pretty cool little lizards to keep in a naturalistic set up with water and plants and everything.
i have been interested in a nice naturalistic set up for a while now just havent had the funding for it, but at some point i would like to try it out. now the only question is what to put in it... so far im between a GTP and a green or blue tree monitor... but i consider waterer dragons too.

Yep Zaphod is indeed a nasty little Tokay Gecko : ) I know some people have tamed there Tokay Gecko but I already have plenty of pets that I handle so he's more of my display animal. His bite doesn't hurt anyways.
I really enjoy the Chinese Water Dragons and I think I'm hooked on them for life : ) They need a fairly large enclosure as adults, it should be 6ftLx2ftDx4ftH (taller is better though if you have room. They don't get very large, the females get about 2ft long and the males get about 3ft long, there tail takes up quite a bit of that length though. They're active during the day so they need good UVB lights and the temperature range should cover the low to high 80's, it can be slightly lower at night. The babies can be skittish but they calm down fairly well as adults but they always have a fairly strong flight response. Sometimes when they run really fast they hop up on their hind legs and run on two legs, it's pretty cute. They are high maintenance, they should be fed everyday as babies and at least every other day as adults. And their water bowl needs to be changed every day because they like to soak in it and they defecate a lot in it! As far as lizards go they definitely get my recommendation because they're absolutely gorgeous, especially as they mature they get bright colors under their throats. Xenu is getting a nice blue color and Tutu is getting a nice yellow color. And they can also be tamed fairly easily. Anyway I can go on and on about these guys : )
