Some updated pics of my T-pos CA male

_dennis_ Jan 16, 2010 09:44 AM

Just wanted to share some recent pics of my Euro line T-positve albino male.
He´ll be 3 years this year, and eathing every 7-14th day. He´s about 3 feet, I have had him in with my leopard female, but he did not show any interest, it was just a long shot. Did not even cool them. But next year he´ll have his chance with her again and a super hypo female.

He´s absolutley one of the favorites in the collection. Hope you can see why.. This line will be used when crossing them into the super stripe project I have comming from Anthony.

Let me know what you think!

He's pretty!

You mentioned that you didn't cool them.... what about the light cycle? Is it artificial or natural?

I have some male Nics that don't start showing interest in the females until the light period starts getting longer. I'd put him back in with her.

Ok, thanks!

It goes by natural light, thru the window in my snakeroom. It couldn´t hurt to leave him in there maybe...

Thanks again, this is my first year breeding boas.

All my Nics/Central American breed when the days get longer and I start increasing the temps for the colombians who are gravid....
The snake room has natural light and I manipulate the temps myself.
I don't think cooling is as important as normal seasonal changes.
Daytime high of 84 degrees ambient and nighttime lows of about 80 or 81 degrees starts kicking off the Centrals/Nics. These temps are in contrast to winter temps of daytime highs 80 degrees and nighttime lows of 76 to 78 degrees.
Good luck, and I hope you can get him going.
