If you want to make expensive babies I would recommend picking up an enchi ferno triple het clown dreamsicle.
I might also recommend the coral glow banana caramel pied quadruple het for wings.

if it could fly....we could teach it to obey commands , make it swallow a gps that's set and pushed to ON....and it could fly itself to new home.....
.......actually they are all correct...the word expensive and YB have nothing to do with each other......

.....you make expensive babies by having expensive parents and lots of time to breed (years in some cases) and having customers willing to pay expensive prices.

"What are you afraid of? What ever it is, it's here. That and things your little irrational mind couldn't even dream of."
to the seller. Trust me, if you want to make tons of money, don't get started in this hobby. I don't know when I'm going to break even. You ask why I do it then. I do it because seeing a little baby ball python stick its head out of the egg for the very first time makes it all worth it.
If you continue to have the attitude you already have, people here will just ignore you. Do yourself and the yellowbelly a favor, give him back and pick up another hobby.
So you mean I'm not going to make millions by buying a pair of het albino ball pythons and then selling the one albino baby I get out of them in 3 years? Darn...guess I'll have to go with my back up plan of being a history high school teacher. That will definitely earn me the big bucks!
i agree with all of u being a member i love when we hammer people just in it for money these kind of people just buy another snake when it get sick they dont think of the vet cost plus everything else involved its not cheap and love is involved for the animals

You are going to need to have an almost instinctive grasp of genetics and the morphs they create. Then you will need to purchase quality, expensive morphs to create expensive babies. Cheap parents = lots of cheap babies. Expensive parents = lots of expensive babies. IF you can safely get them to size, breed them, and successfully incubate the eggs.
How big is your yellowbelly? What is your budget? Do you have an incubator design in mind or are you going to purchase it? Have you considered what you were going to do with all the babies if they don't sell (which they might not with your first, second or even third clutch)? Housing? Feeding? Other vet expenses?
What everyone has been trying to tell you basically: This isn't a business. This is a nearly life-long hobby that starts to turn a profit after a lot of trial, error, and perseverance. We'd be glad to help you with your BPs, but not if you only goal is to make money.

first of all, im only 15years old, i got my snake when i was 14. i thank all the people who were not being assholes when answering to my question. i love my YB to death and i will never give him away for anything even if i cnt breed him..... and the reason i wanted to said i needed "expensive babies" is because my dad doesnt have a job anymore and i cnt get one anywhere, i needed to make this money to help out my family (brother and dad). once again thank you for the people who werent killing me over this question and actually tried helped me.
To be honest, if you are hoping to support your family, you are better to focus on school and getting the best grades you can. You will need to have money to buy a decent female to breed to your yellow belly.
That is just the start. You will need cage setup for the second snake, the extra food to feed it, the cost of building/buying an incubator. At least a year before you even get one clutch, then the cost to house the babies if the eggs all successfully hatch. Plus food for the babies to get them well established before selling. Finally there is the cost of advertising to find buyers...and continuing to care for the babies till buyers are found who purchase the babies.
This isn't counting the competition already in the field and how most people tend to buy from well established breeders, especially the more expensive morphs.
If your goal is to help bring in money, you won't do it by breeding snakes. You are better off just applying for odd jobs, getting a paper delivery job, doing yard work, shoveling snow (if you live somewhere that has snow) or cutting lawns, offer to take care of friends/neighbor's cats or dogs while they travel or walking their dogs while they are at work during the day (when you are not in school of course) etc.
Its admirable you want to help with the family income but there are far more effective ways to do it, which will help now, than trying to breed snakes.

YEPpers......snakes cost money ....ask my friends...I get all their cash to pay for their snakes' food items.....
.....make cash......McDonald's hires 15 year olds...they actually have good work ethics ,are clean and teach good work habits if you do as told and have good management....Really...I have a great kid...she started at McDonalds'........she is now 29......
..as for odd jobs...you never know.....I have no kids here on my street....you have to ask people.....I pay people to cut my grass, bag my leaves (yard vacuum)...these are adult 30 year olds...one laid off from Harley Davidson....they don't nEED the cash but like it.....I pay well.....I could use younger help....picking up pine cones, trash (no fences)....limbs...all kinds of yard work....I clean snakes and mice and don't go out much anymore...I used to pick up stuff everyday while I walked the dog around the yard...he is dead, I don't make it a habbit to walk around yard anymore...cept to feed the squirrels....lots and lots of squirrels....LOL
so...you need cash.....snakes are not it.....
you want to breed....ask around...you can find a female normal somewhere free...I guarentee it.....keep the baby girl YB's and get rid of males......still makes no money but teaches you to breed....

Just by the original message you could tell it was just a Kid with no clue on both the Snake Business, or the reality of how much of a financial gain two snakes can give you.
But as far as this poster thinks that responders were being "A Holes", he's got to remember that he is on a Forum where many here are serious Hobbyists, Herpers, or Businesses that does take the well being of snakes to heart. Quite honestly Kid, the way you worded that question, did come across to me as someone more interested in a quick buck, which even made me feel uneasy about your motive. Because there are already some people out there that also want the quick buck which means they are willing to power feed, and double clutch each year, and then all you get is a dead snake after five or six years.
I too have posted a question in the past where I got blasted by responders, but I did get a chuckle out of some of their replys to me, and I also did learn from them. I am sure you learned something from your posting too. So hats off to my fellow Forum Friends for setting another person straight on getting into the hobby for the right reasons. Not for a short term helping out around the house.
Good Luck with the Hobby...
You could make a killing with double clutches every year.
I know, I know, non existant with the Balls. But I also have Corn Snakes, and other Colubrids, and was just generalizing some of the practices even with other types of snakes other than the Ball Pythons.
But good bust non the less....
