Sex linked/Co-Dominant Genetics

skywalker Jan 16, 2010 10:17 PM

Just wondering if anyone has determined if Ball Pythons have any sex-linked mutations.

Was also wondering if there are any "blend" mutations. Not designer morphs but more like rat and mouse genetics. For example. If you breed a white mouse to a black mouse, the babies are black, white, and black and white. If you then breed those offspring together, the babies are black, white, black and white, and grey.

It's been a while since I've looked at this forum.

As far as I know, nobody has reported sex-linked mutants in ball pythons.

When I've bred black X albino mouse, all the babies were either black (in some matings) or agouti (= gray?) (in other matings).

The mutants in ball python designer morphs follow the same Mendelian inheritance rules that the mutants in rats and mice follow.
