The colors on my Florida King

Marcel Poots Jan 17, 2010 08:53 AM

I have left this big guy alone for almost a month since his arrival. Today I took him out to admire his colors.

He has quite an appetite and sees every movement as possible food. I was glad to handle him without drawing blood

Marcell,

I just want to say..I looooove Florida kings.

I recall the first time I saw an artcle on keeping Florida kings. The accompaning picture reminded me of yours. The muscular head and stoutness of the snake is impressive. The article explained the ease of husbandry and raising of resulting captive born neonates, I could not imagine a better captive snake.

When I look at the first third of that snake, it sort of has an "Osceola-Suwanne" look to it.

Nice animal!

I'd say the snake fits in with as an Osceola/Suwannee morph. Wouldn't be surprised if it was descended from Duval County animals.
