One of my keepers from this year. Just took these pics tonight.
Still in love with the color and pattern of this one. Hope I can do something with it.

John, If I may ask, how do you plan on using this one? I think if I had it I would probably try to get one of the banded, or tiger, red albinos as a mate. I'd work on intensifying that banding. But those would be my preferences, you may have other ideas. You do have a real beauty there.

I had several '09 and '08 Reds and Red crosses on display at the recent show in Pomona. This male and 6 of his brothers were on display. They all show the pattern bleeding down the side in varying degrees. I can also see it on their father, just not as strong as the male in the pic. I plan on breeding the same pair this year to see if I can reproduce the color and pattern. My goal will be to improve the pattern and consistently reproduce it. Hopefully a Red Tiger or Red Banded snake that breeds true. Since I'm keeping my line of Reds separate from that other well known line of Reds, I will have to line breed to lock in this trait. As soon as these males are up to breeding size I would like to cross it to albinos, axanthics, maybe even hypos. Just imagine how nice a banded axanthic would look!
