They'll go after us 1 State at a time , we need to continue to go
on the offensive with Education Out reach programs

I hope the Ball isn't dropped in Rhode Island as it was in Delaware

due to I imagine the pressing federal issues (S 373 / HR 2811)

We all need to get behind every State with support

against these Anti reptile Laws

So when the bills dont pass, what happens with the states that already pass their own laws? Will those laws still be in effect since it is now a state law?

States are allowed to enact laws which are more stringent than Federal laws. So even when (I can't bring myself to say "if" HR2811/S373 fail, states still have the option to enact legislation of their own.

You're absolutely right.

The analogy I've been giving is pizza.

HR669 was the Animals Rights groups attempt at eating an entire pizza at once. The list of animals (or pizza) was just too big.

S373/HR2811 and state/local laws are basically the Animal Rights groups eating one slice of pizza at a time.

These groups aren't going to stop until we stop them.

Another analogy is Hitlers attempt at world domination. He didn't go for the entire world at once, he went one country at a time. And he was VERY successful until an enormous collaborative effort came together to stop him.

We need to be that enormous collaborative effort!!!

When is it going to become relistic to these people that reptiles are less harmful then dogs, cats, and horses to name a few. I guess what it comes down to is all these senators and there show dogs and the the money generated by the worthless breedings. What the hell lets add the fact that all these dogs that are less then show quality become abandoned, abused wind up in the humane society or in less then desirable puppy mills. Oh yeh thats wright then we will have to watch a sad commercial about the money they need to care for them. These senators are just as bad. I wish the public could see the fact that the lehigh valley Pa humane society is no longer being funded and has been since taken over by a well known bad rescue. There are so many ways to look at all these issues. Whos fault is it and were should all the blame go. I guess we should be sad for the fluffy not the scaley.

The people behind this bill don't want you to own ANY animal. This is just a stepping stone. Soon there will be a day you can't get little Billy his very own pet goldfish! I was just reading about the asian carp in the lakes. The fish forums will be going crazy!
