Paul,
I've always thought that the online reptile community is infinitely smaller than most of us think. After working a show myself, I now think I was wrong. It's even smaller than I thought before. MOST people who keep a reptile do NOT look online at all for info on their reptile, or any reptile.
A few things that I would like to see done.
For all vendors who work with reptiles, or the supplies to keep them, I would like to see them edit their outgoing signature with a quick one sentence blurb and website to seek info about the situation.
I'd like to see all vendors who attend shows have at least a one page FAQ on the situation available for every customer who browses their offerings. In fact, I'd like to see a stack of FAQ's at the entrance to the show.
I'd like to see each vendors website have a blurb in a place that's easy to see with info, maybe a link, about the situation.
All pet stores should have fliers and FAQ's.
All vet offices should have fliers and FAQ's.
Those are just a few of the things I think would be helpful.
I think with the USFWS soon to be asking for public comments, I think there should be a dedicated page with info about how to comment, and what to say that all herpers can look to. If all of the sources for reptile interaction above had the SAME LINK (how many different petitions are there out there??), this could be a fantastic way to organize and fight back.
Just my thoughts...

What's written above is purely my opinion. In fact, MOST of what you read on the internet is someone's opinion. Don't take it too seriously
