Domesticated animals - More

Southernboids Jan 21, 2010 06:43 AM

Sorry for the double post.. last night when I posted it looked fine then when it actually showed up on KS it was full of crazy characters and difficult to read.

Someone mentioned Domesticated animals so I did a quick check and found a list on Wikipedia - it was also brought to my attention that this is not really an official list. I agree but it is a start and it already includes Ball Pythons.

Is there a starndard United Stated Domesticated Animal List??? I have searched but I am not able to find one so far.

The definition of domesticated really seems to fit in with the Morphs we are working with.

Just curious to see what others thought about this and wondering how would we go about getting Boa Constrictors on that list.

Here is the Link again for Domesticated Animals List

working on this. In my opinion, it may be the only real chance we have at keeping Boas legally. Can you confirm if you're on this USARK? Thanks. Mike Panichi

Hi Shawn,

Not exactly what you were looking for, but I had found this last year when writing an exerpt for a friend's presentation on reptiles as pets... not quite 'domestic' but it classifies them as 'companions'

The USDA lists reptiles and amphibians in their national agricultural library as companion animals.

Here in Washington state, there is a man who has a boa as a companion animal.

hmmm..... go the ADA line. I like it.
