This stuff is pretty cool.It drys and feels just like electrical tape...Anyway I was thinking of soldering the flexwatt and covering the area with this stuff. It should work just fine right?

I always used aluminum glass cloth tape to tape over the connection and hold the wire firmly in line with the tape itself. Usually wrapping around an edge. Just to make sure it held in place for no other reason really.
My experience with the liquid electric tape is it doesn't stick all that well and definitely doesn't do as above in holding the connection firmly in place. It definitely coats the wire and insulates it, but my tape always served the duel role in regards to heat tape. I'm not sure how well it will stick to the plastic portion of the heat tape either.
