Mandy and William,

You should expect eggs by the end of the month.

Do you have a plan for setting up your nest boxes for incubation?

Good luck with your clutches.

I'm going to second Brian.

the females can store sperm to use when they ovulate. I always start breeding well before ovulation, and I keep pairing until I either see ovulation or my pairs completely lose interest in each other.

Get those egg boxes ready

Not only have you proceeded correctly, but you would not expect to see any ovulations without first observing breeding. I believe it is at least very rare for a female to ovulate without the stimulus of breeding (usually multiple). II have over 50 female balls in my charge, and I've never seen an ovulation without first observing at least one hookup.

William sounds like you will have a good season. Did you happen to find any of those wild on the road like the sunglo boas?

the sperm needs to be there before the eggs drop
like they said...females may not ovulate if they have not bred anyways...I don't know...I breed from Oct till March -ish?...

mine lay from May till oct 5 last year.......maybe it was sept 5?.......anyways....they lay when they want....

Ovulation is the act of FERTILIZING the eggs. They happen at the SAME TIME. If you don't breed before this, you might as well not breed at all.
