I know they are good for Beardies, but the teacher at my son's school has a leopard with a skinny tail and wants to know. I've told her it needs a fecal at least.
Thanks.

Yep, they sure can! My geckos wouldn't eat them as their staple diet, but they loved the occasional one. It depends on the gecko though...

Sure, but you want to be careful while giving silkworms. Silkworms are high in fat, but they're known to be very addictive for many breeders.
Tim
Waxworms are high in fat and can be addictive, but everything I have read about silkies, including the nutritional breakdown comparison on them, crox and mealies, is that they are an excellent food source for leos and can be used as a staple. They are high in protein and calcium, and are soft-bodied. If you have other info could you please post a link.
The only thing about silkies: some leos love love them, others won't go near them.

Ignore my reply about silkworms having high fat. I'm really sorry, I was thinking about something else. To come of it, wax and silkies are very similar looking.
Tim
None of my geckos would go near them. The largest, Boo, took a lick then went and hid.....i still have the silkworms and have no clue what to do with them hehehehehe
I think its an individual taste.
