Have neither the time nor the temperament for direct sales. Don't need retail rates of return. But really need to make space. Current batch of younglings are all double, triple and quadruple co-doms. Are there folks out there who will middle-man these animals? How do I find them? Am I trading one set of problems for another? Your experience would be greatly appreciated...Dave

Am I trading one set of problems for another?

Yes. But if you truly do not need a high price for your animals, it might be worth it. Just know that you are far from the first person to whom this thought has occurred

Never been the first one to think of any thing -- just trying to figure out whether this is a viable option, and if so, how it might work. Thanks...Dave

Find somebody you trust to sell them for you is probably the best way to go. Then agree on a minimum price you want for each snake or for total if sold as a group only. Then your friend can sell the snakes at whatever price he/she wants over the minimum and keeps all profit but returns to you that minimum price.

Or, can just agree to give them a set percentage of total sales (ie 30% of total cost of all snakes he sells for you)

If you don't know anybody you trust enough not to just take your snakes and run or never give you the money for those he sells, just place ads of the entire collection as a group, asking best offer. Or sell to a wholesaler in your area.

usually when i have an abundance of animals(usually corns) ill first contact the larger pet stores in the area. ill sell what they can take to them at a large cut, then ill take the rest and wither trade them or sell them individually at a markup. i do alot of local sales with the small mom and pop shops. they usually choose me over cheaper wholesalers due to my guarantee, they show me their price lists and then we agree on a price for my animals that have a feeding and 2 week survival guarantee.
its all about leg work
