question regarding eastern kings

ddt0003 Jan 27, 2010 01:24 AM

I just recently picked up a pair of eastern kings. i was just wondering what their ideal temperature range was? I was thinking something like 75-80?

Most would agree it is best to give them a good gradient of temps and let them choose and thermoregulate. For most of my snakes I aim for 70 on the cool side (cooler if possible) and 88 to 90 on the hot side.(mountain kings get a slightly cooler hot side). Place hides at either end of the cage and place the water on the cool side. If you are going to just heat the entire room I would go with 78-80 or so, but I don't like keeping snakes that way.
