#1 reason boas should not be banned

Pithons Jan 27, 2010 10:30 AM

This one statement alone is a very good reason boas should not be on the list of baned animals. Talk about real science, well then here you go.

"Boa Constrictors that for about the last few million years have and do live just 120 miles South of Texas border in Mexico. IF they could live in the U.S., they already be."

I noticed that point also on the thread below & it is an
excellent point.

I think that the #1 reason to me at least is that we live in the
United States of America, the Land of the Free.

There is no safety hazard with boas, and there is not a public
outcry or mandate to create new legislature to remove these
civil liberties either. Nobody was voted in to office because
they promised to make owning boas illegal. There are no public
referendums that exist to make owning boas illegal either.

All of the lobbying that has been done for this was done with
money that was donated for completely different reasons. No one
sent money to have this type of legislation passed.

This is an enormous waste of tax payer money and an even bigger
waste of animal lover and animal rights activist money.

What are we up against next. Are they going to take all of our Books on reptiles away and burn them in gigantic piles. Sounds more like something that has already happened in the not so distant past. These animals are just that, another form of animal, they are not evil, but you can't convince those religious fanatics out there that they are not the devil. I mean come on. If the bible statet that the devil took the form of a sly fox or even a cuddly little bunny in the garden of eden, these animals would be getting the same bad rap that snakes get now wouldn't they?
