Although there are some poisonous foods that cyclura eat, rule of thumb -- follow iguana iguana diets. Bad foods:low in calcium, high in phosphorus, and oxalates that inhibit calcium absorbtion. Carrots,Spinach,Broccoli are high in oxalates, but are ok as a ingredient of a big salad. Collard greens are a good staple because of high calcium to phosphorus ratio. Variety is always good. If using produce, freshness is also important. High grade commercial diet foods are also good to fill in nutrients that might be lacking in a produce diet. As for a fruits: Figs are high in calcium and I never had a cyclura that did not love them.

ok so what are the ABSOLUTE BEST things for me to be feeding?

The two best staples are dandelion greens and collard greens. Next are mustard and turnip greens.

We follow the iguana den diet pretty closely, but recently bumped dandelion greens up as the top staple after reading the article John Binns wrote for January 2009 issue of Reptiles magazine.

Collard greens are near the top of the list, as far as dark leafy greens go.
Good luck with that little guy.

Here is a great chart that will show you what foods should be staples and which ones can be used occasionally or as treats. It even has photos! Borrowed from The Green Iguana Society.
