Ball Python Breeding Questions

kevinvs Jan 27, 2010 10:46 PM

I have been doing a little bit of research but haven't been able to find much information about breeding of yellow bellies to other morphs.
I have a pastel yellow belly 50% het albino that I am planning on breeding to either my albino or spider. I know that breeding the yellow belly pastel to the spider will produce the 25% normal 25% pastel 25% spider and 25% bumble bee... but will there be any yellow belly inheritance?
Also, I understand that there is only a 50% chance that there will be any chance of producing an albino from the pastel to the albino, but just for purpose of argument lets say she is genetic for it. Will there be any yellow belly inheritance into the offspring if they produce a albino pastel or regular pastel?

Breeding the pastel yellow belly to the spider you could produce pastels, yellowbellys, spiders, normals, pastel yellowbellys, yellowbelly spiders, bumblebees, yellowbelly bumblebees.

If bred to the albino, and it proved out to be a het, you could produce albino's, yellowbelly albino's, pastel yellowbelly albino's, pastel albino's, pastel het albino's, yellowbelly het albino, pastel yellowbelly het albino, and het albino's.

I think i got them all..lol
