New Monitors

volleyballjoe Jan 28, 2010 11:58 AM

Just excited, I just purchased a baby Croc Monitor and Sulpher Water. Thought I would open discussion about either. I have owned both before as adults,(never had a baby Salvadorii or Sulphers, just sumatrans) anyone want to share experience in keeping. I have always had issues with developing trust in Waters. Husbandry is never an issue, they feed great are healthy, I have just never had a big calm giant. Any tricks with waters. The Croc is a different story, no expectations of calm or tame there, just lots of respect.

Treat the water like you plan to treat the croc, leave it alone and never force yourself on it.

Yeah, I've tried that before, I guess patience is the big thing. Well, here are some picks of the little croc.

Nice animal, hope things go well for you. In a year, you're gonna have a few huge critters, cant wait to see them.
How are the Quince monitors doing?
