All the Pyro talk so.....

Jlassiter Jan 29, 2010 09:10 PM

Here's some of mine......I think I like the ones with more black (crossovers) on them.....And knoblochi are the most gentle snake I have ever had....I have a 1998 male that is over 4-1/2 feet and he has never tried to bite anything but f/t mice......

And.....(this is the kicker.....lol) Both L. p. pyromelana have never gone off feed except for when I let them clear their gut prior to brumation......Actually after I got them from Bob Bichler in California I fed them one pinky a day for 2 months and got them on fuzzies before they were 6 months old.....They hatched in 2008 and are over 30 inches...They are eating small adult mice at 18 months old now....And...If they are willing I will pair them up this year.......Yes...18 month old pyros...I don't know if they'll be successful, but it's worth a try in my opinion......

John,

Very nice. Best of luck with them. here are a few of mine. These lines date back as far as the other snakes we spoke about.

Nice looking Applegate "Special" Pyros man.....
BTW...My 1.1 Pyros are of Chris Baubel's line of "no-black" pyros......

And there are 1.1 Knoblochi in the pictures as well from Shannon Brown....They are from the "Candy-Cane" line of Knoblochi....

I personally enjoy pyros that lean more towards the wild type of more black crossovers as well. those knobs are amazing.

Well that certainly says "quality and not quantity" is a misnomer or application of a wrong description when it comes to pyros and zonata.
