racks and tubs ?

saagbay Jan 30, 2010 11:49 AM

i was looking at different rack options and trying to find out who has what for tubs. i know Dave uses his AP rack with the CB-110 you do use those for your fully grown adult brb? and then 6 QT shoe boxes for hatchlings, and sweater boxes for yearlings/juvies/sub adults??

what does everyone else use for tubs and racks.

in my quick search i also so some CB-70 tubs they where a little smaller but are those big enough for a full grown adult BRB

hey there,I built my rack in order to house full grown BRBs. I made it using the Iris VE-175 tubs. I built the rack out of melamine about about 2.5 years ago and I am still really liking it.

I am currently housing 5 Brazilian Rainbow Boas in this rack and I also really love the size of these tubs as well as the two wheels that are on the bottom/back of each tub. This year I'm trying it out for breeding.

The tubs are sold at Walmart during the Christmas season, or you can find them through online retailers (though shipping is expensive).

The CB110 can house a full grown adult. Yeah, not a lot of stretching out space but being long and narrow the tub ha s a really good heat gradient.

My current tub sizes are 6QT shoebox for up to yearling, also have a rack with little larger shoe box tubs 8QT I think. Then 15QT for yearlings up to almost 2 years. Then 32QT Blanket boxes can house them to sub-adult. Abd my CB 110's for adults. I also have my cages but those are for breeding and gestating adults. Do have one pair in a tub this year for breeding but not a big fan, is hard to check on them without disturbing them.
