Is this stuff good to use for cyclura along with the greens a couple times per week?
I used to use the rep-cal with my rhino, but then switched to a high qualitiy peleted bird food because the ingredients were comperable, and it was A LOT cheeper to buy birdfood( zupreem) by the 20 lb. bag to feed my other green guys...Peleted food is great to because they will eat it dry (just monitor thier water/poop) and it is nutitionally balanced.
I keep a small amount around for my girl in her enclosure at least 3 times a week.

Rep-cal is the one that looks like circus candy isn't it? As far as easy-to-find dry food goes, you might try ZooMed. It's pelleted, easily available and I believe it's the dry food that John Binns recommends in his overly-thorough diet for Cyclura. I know many folks here use Mazuri as well and are quite enthusiastic about it. I have a dogbowl of the ZooMed available 24/7... as was mentioned above, if you do that carefully monitor water intake and watch the fecals.

Mazuri as in this stuff?

so if I were to get it just mix a few in with the greens everyday?
Since I don't use it wait until one the Mazuri guys chimes in, but I am pretty sure everyone prefers the tortoise stuff. I think there's some nutritional reason.
I use the Mazuri diet exclusively and mix in greens a couple of times a week. The weight gain my guy has gained is very impressive. Before when I was just using greens/squash etc..he would pick at it and nible here and there and never clean his plate, but when I switched over to mazuri..after reading on a few forums that people use it exclusively... my guy went crazy for it and now prefers it to greens. I have not seen any ill effects from it yet. His stools are a lot firmer as well. I soak the mazuri in hot water for about a minute or two to soften it up..then drain the water and serve it to him by itself or with greens occasionally. He loves it! His plate is always clean now as well. Hope this helps

Yea thanks it does help. My Cuban eats his greens though. I feed him in the morning and then I have to refill his little bowl every afternoon. So I'm thinking maybe just mixing it in a few days a week?
Which mazuri should i get? The tortoise or iguana one?
Mazuri iguana is a really weird powdered blend of alfafa.I would stick to tortoise
I use the tortoise kind. If you go to a local feed store they can normally order it for you cheaper then buying it online or in stores

I'm a zoomed fan. I buy the adult and juvi pellets by the 50lbs sacks. I think its better nutritionally than rep-cal or mazuri.
