CA Motley x Leopard looks hopefull..

_dennis_ Jan 31, 2010 03:16 PM

I was planing to pair my CA T albino with my leopard female this winter, but as I suspected he was a bit small, my alternetive was my CA Motley male.. So I put him into her box today, and almost directly he showed some interest. Here´s a picuture of him trying.. Pic taken with mobile phone, sorry for the poor quality.

I don´t dare to hope for to much but I´d love for some European made pure CA het. leopards.

I know that Bill Kirby made this cross in 08 or was is last year? If you see this Bill, please post any picutres of the offspring from that pairing. I know they were 50% columbian, but would be fun to see.

p.s the pic is taken during cleaning time thereby no substrate in the tub. d.s

Take care everyone!

Here is a picture I just took of one of the females. I used the Colombian Motley because I think they will make larger much higher contrast leopard motleys. Good luck with yours.

I used this classic patterned Motley male. I have made many litters with this male and this is the only litter where the babies showed this kind of striping.

Bill, Didn't you get a Leopard Boa or Leopard looking boa from that pairing? I think some really cool things could come from these pairings... It will be interesting to see how the CA Motley influences the babies...

Neat Stuff!!!!

So Sorry about your State Laws changing Bill, You are definitely one of the GREAT GUYS I have meet in the business, best of luck!!!

Okay, sorry to even say anything, as it's a great breeding. However everyone always says breeding any CA morph to leopards will make these PURE CA het leopards. The part that bothers me is the Sonoran Desert is in NORTH America.

The Sonoran Desert region and its subdivisons

Sonoran Desert Region

WHAT IS THE SONORAN DESERT REGION?
The region interpreted by the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum consists of the Sonoran Desert itself and the included and adjacent habitats that influence its ecology and climate. More specifically, it includes:

¡Southern Arizona north to the Grand Canyon and Mogollon Rim
¡The southeastern corner of California (roughly south of a line drawn from Needles to Palm Springs to San Diego)
¡The state of Sonora, Mexico
¡The Baja California peninsula of Mexico
¡The Gulf of California and its islands

Another
The Sonoran Desert (sometimes called the Gila Desert[citation needed] after the Gila River or the Low Desert in opposition to the higher Mojave Desert) is a North American desert which straddles part of the United States-Mexico border and covers large parts of the U.S. states of Arizona and California and the northwest Mexican states of Sonora, Baja California, and Baja California Sur. It is one of the largest and hottest deserts in North America, with an area of 311,000 square kilometres (120,000 sq mi). The desert contains a variety of unique plants and animals, such as the saguaro cactus

Yea, I really agree with you. I only write them down as pure CA as this is what most do. I intended to write pure dwarf motleys het. leopard.

Interesting fact about the Sonoran and other nearby deserts.

Thanks,
Dennis
