Probly a touchy question to ask, but i'm really interested in buying an Okeetee sooner or later. Just curious to see who everyone would recommend to buy one from.

That is a touch question!! LOL!! Most breeders working with Okees have line bred their animals to intensify the look they are going for. My suggestion would be to look at the adults that the babies come from. This forum is a great place to see pics of adults that have been posted by various breeders. When you find one you like, contact that person to see whats available. Looking at the adult breeders will give you a half way decent chance of determining what the babies will look like when adult. Be aware though, not all babies from screamer adults will be great looking, and vice versa.
Also, it makes a difference on what 'style' of Okeetee you like best, big wide black borders or thiner boarders? Deeper color etc. Hence check through various Okeetee breeders and pictures to find what you like the most then find a breeder who has adult animals like that.

Also -- do you want an Okeetee that is traceable directly back to wild caught snakes, that simply looks like the wild type, or one that is an enhanced version of Okeetee type?
I personally love the Abbott Okeetees. But they should not be confused with locality Okeetees. So you need to figure out what you really want in an Okeetee before you can choose what is "best" for you!

everyone brings up good points.
First decide just what you are looking for then shop around.
Now for some ideas where to look
The Abbotts line (Lee Abbott)
Love Line (Kathy Love)
Don Soderberg at South Mountain
and right here in our happy little forum community Jeff Cochran
has some killers as well.
Check with each, see what they have and work from there.
I don't mean to slight anyone else working with okeetees, I know a lot of you produce some killers, these are just a few of the names that come to mind.

I love em. I've got "regular" okeetee, Abbott's okeetee, reverse okeetee, AND strawberry reverse okeetee. Do ya sense a trend here?

I like the abbott line as well. Very beautiful snakes.
So you've had a snake for under a week and you now need the "best" Okeetees? Lol, that is enthusiasm! Also funny that it is always the newbies that ask this type of question. But I understand. You are pumped up after getting your first snake. And why not? My advice - see the snake you like (or parents thereof), then buy. Corns are nice snakes to keep, no question. Good luck.

Honestly, i've always loved snakes. I remember catching grass snakes when I was a kid and keeping them for as long as I could until Mom would make me turn it loose. I've just now been able to afford to buy and keep one of my own. I fell in love with the different Okeetee lines as soon as I started looking around. Hoping one day I might be able to breed my Amel Corn with an Okeetee. (not any time in the near future, I know. I have alot of learning to do before that!)
As others have said, you first need to figure out hwat you think is "best" in an okee. There is huge variety in okees. I've always been into the thickest borders possible, ever since I first saw and okeetee. Now I work mostly with the reverse okees and am absolutely in love with them!
