Thank you for taking the time to contact my office to share your concerns about Invasive Species. Your input is important to me, and I appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts.
As a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, the protection and preservation of wildlife and the environment is very important to me. Due to fiscal restraints, we as elected officials have the responsibility of evaluating departmental programs during the appropriations process to find out which ones are working well and which ones need to be improved. I appreciate your interest the effects invasive species can have on ecosystems and public health and the information you have provided will certainly be helpful to my staff and me as we continue to look into this issue.
