I figured as much. If she hadn't gotten bit she probably never would have been caught. Mildly worrisome to think she might represent a growing population of illegal venomous snake owners.

And they go on bashing pythons.

We all knew this was the case, now we just have proof.

And let's not get in the habit of pointing fingers at hot keepers. there are good ones and bad ones, just like python keepers. I think the only reason they went after python keepers first is that it's a small enough demographic for them to go after, yet large enough to deal a crippling blow to the reptile industry.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against people who keep, breed, and otherwise maintain venomous snakes. I have severe issues with people who do it illegally, and more often than not, without respect for the deadliness of the snake. I was just connecting said woman with the latter group.
