Do you think leos learn to recognize your voice if you talk to them like you would talk to any other pet? I know they're not stupid, but I was wondering if it made any difference.

I would say so.. My geckos respond to my girlfriends and my voice when they hear us(especially if we haven't been home for a while), and they usually come out if hiding.. whereas, while i'm gone if my sister or mom come to feed them, and start talking to them, they usually don't respond unless they see the tweezer with food..

I talk to my leos all the time, I never say much, but I do. 
Thats just me.
I have one inparticular that does answer when I say her name. She'll come out and see me when I say her name. Its so cute. There are a few others who regonize me and will turn in my direction or look at me when I say their name.
I am sure they could learn their names, maybe. Just like my cat. When her name is called she'll come to you.

My guy pretty much comes when he is called. He'll be in his humid hide and all you have to do is call his name and he emerges from hiding and walks over to the glass. When I have been away for a while he comes out of hiding even if I'm on the phone or talking with a friend. I guess its probably voice recognition and nothing else and he probably associates my voice with meal worms.
