BROWNSBOAS Feb 03, 2010 09:08 PM

No, It's a Colombian...If you saw that snake on a table at a show how would you think it would be labeled...No surprises with this one.. Like I said.. Honest opinions... and a little info to support you hypothesis..

The tail is so dark I can't quite see for sure but I'd almost say I see a lack of red pigment in that snake. Lack of red pigment would be axanthic if i'm not mistaken. I have often seen those dorsal stripes in between saddles on surinams before.I'm not sure what your hopin to hear but I can't wait to find out what you believe is goin on with it.

amiemac9 Feb 04, 2010 05:30 AM

Anery. Axanthic is a lack of yellow.

I was sort of thinking the same thing, but I'd need to see better shots of the tail.

Het Sharp to me. Bold head pattern, first few saddles are peaked and clean as can be. Not to mention the blockey bold back saddles. Looks like a lot of the Het Sharps use to, pre Hypo Blood.

LarM Feb 04, 2010 02:25 PM

Looks like a typical but clean Colombian type Boa.

It has dark lateral medallions and a dark tail.

Doesn't look like a typical Anery Boa but
possibly a deceptive non Anery.

Although the really brown version of Anery do exist

I'm pretty certain I see some color on its cheek
just in front of the eye
might be the pic though.

All those that said just a normal boa!!!! Give yourself a pat on the back!!! Your brains have not been polluted by morph hysteria!

Ruben is the "BIG WINNER" she is actually a Het Sharp!!!! Ruben wins the all expense paid smallmouth fishing trip with yours truly as soon as he makes out to TN....

Like I said it wasn't a riddle!!!

Thanks to all who replied!

AbsoluteApril Feb 05, 2010 09:53 AM
