Best Cameras for Reptile/Ball Pictures?

reptimals Feb 04, 2010 06:17 PM

Hello, I am looking to get a new camera for taking high quality reptile pictures and would like to stay within the $800 max range. I looked at the Cannon Powershot G11 and thought it looked good and was at a fair price ($500), any advise on which camera is a good choice for taking quality reptile pics? Thanks...

I use a Nikon D40. It's fairly idiot proof (a huge bonus for me), it's in your price range, and you can swap out the lense with other Nikon lenses.

You can't go wrong with that camera. Very user friendly and it takes really good pictures without much trouble. You do need to know what you're doing but it is a really nice camera for a reasonable price.
