webster Sep 20, 2003 12:22 AM

Hi
My leo who hasnt been eating on a regular basis just did his buisness and he his stool isn't really runny but neither is it solid, pretty much normal. But it seems that he has excreted urine. I thought they didnt do that. He also excreted the normal solid 'urine'. Hes going to vet first thing in the morning. What could be wrong?

There are three parts to the poop: the solid brown part, the white urate, and the liquid urate. They release it all at the same time, so it's like pooping and peeing at the same time.

I agree, not a problem. There's always a wet spot on the papertowel around the poop with my girls. Don't worry. You're such a good parent!

I guess Im freaking out because he has never excreted so much liquid before. Plus he hasnt been eating lately so he should take a trip to the vet anyways. You have made me feel a bit better. I just worry about my little boy. Thanks!!

a fecal every once in awhile is never a bad idea, especially if his appetite is off. Sounds like one lucky gecko to have such a concerned and responsibble owner.

they do that sometimes if they've been drinking a lot of water, it is nothing to be concerned about
