Who here has one or two particular animals that they use as garbage disposals? I've got 30 odd snakes right now, and every couple of feeds one doesn't eat. Either they're in shed and refuse (I usually offer food in shed, it gets eaten most of the time by babies), or they just don't feel like eating that feed, or I miscount and thaw out too many damn feeders.
My rescue king, Chomper, eats my leftover mice from pinkies to weaners, but can't quite get down an adult yet. Any of my getula would probably be willing but he was so undersized when I got him I just sort of default to giving them to him...
My boa constrictor eats any rats that the retics or ball don't want (not very common!).
It's a funny to watch Yoda, a (probably 30 lb) boa eat a rat meant for my 2 lb ball...or watch Chomper eat a 2 gram pinky mouse when he's hitting 200 grams. It's like me eating an M&M.
