One Week Until Valentine's Day......

Jlassiter Feb 06, 2010 10:41 PM

Next weekend will be Valentine's Day and I will bring the kingsnakes out of brumation. As most know I am dying with anticipation and I haven't had any eggs hatch over here since 2006 after an awful air conditioning accident/malfunction.....

So...I can't wait to see stuff like this again.....

The problem with that Scott is the fact that they will hatch out looking normal....We probably won't see a black hypo-e mex mex this year.....Maybe next year('11) when the 2010 babies are almost a year old we'll be able to tell which ones are going to be black and pink.....

Also.....I think there will be some inbetweeners this year that we will need to raise and pair up when they are adults....Then some cooler stuff will happen....

I'm just glad a granite/speckled mex mex hatches out granite/speckled......

Right now it looks like I'll have to hold lots of offspring back just to see what's what due to the ontogenesis with Mex Mex......

I just hope I get some good eggs and incubation goes well.....LOL

Plus....
I think there will be some cool Zonata, Pyros and Floridana hatch out this year.....
Not to mention some cool Splendida morphs like Snows, Ghosts and Hybinos......
Plus those Goini/Floridana crosses always throw new stuff every year.....

heheh, hold on there Hoss! While I await the Great Awakening, there are still a few mouths to feed, glad the little Msp ate, it was looking a might peaked, even for a runt. Hey Chris Flowers, you out there? look what Daddy did!

Yep Feeding then breeding, but breeding will happen many times before that cookie cutter first shed thing every books speaks about....LOL

Glad you got that MSP eating again....
I have one stubborn Black Phase Mex Mex that I hope to come around as it warms up....He ate a few times in the Fall but has shut down......I am sure he'll be fine......

Yep...I'm contemplating bringing them up, but I have always done it on Valentine's Day with success......Regardless of outside temps.....

I just hope it gets cold enough down there in Florida to eradicate some more feral pythons..........I heard the last cold snap killed 100% of a group that was being tracked.....
That goes against all the screwy science behind the "ban".....
